As part of the Safe Driving module in Transition Year Fr. Stephen Joyce gave a presentation on motor bike safety to Ms. Brady’s class. The students also engaged in a short questions and answers session.

The students in Ms. Brady's Rang Ferghus participated in research on the European Union as of a competition run by Euroscola.
All students designed excellent bookmarks each focusing on different aspects of the European Union's responsibilities.



Ms. Michelle Flanagan

Ms. Michelle Flanagan made a return visit to the school to speak to second year classes about justice and the law.

Presentation to Lieutenant James O' Hara who gave an informative talk to second year students from Rang Shane and Sean. He also explained his role as an army officer. Students had an oppurtunity to engage in some small examples of a soldier's duty. Both classes agreed the talk helped significently in their study of the United Nations for their C.S.P.E. project.

Rang Seoirse, with their teacher Ms. D. Brady, have been studying law for their CSPE project. The group had invited Community Garda, Paddy O' Hanagan to their class. In January, the students were invited to visit the Garda station in Monaghan.
Sergeant Yvonne Martin gave the students a tour of the station. The Traffic Corp Unit gave a short presentation. All students had a chance to see the interview rooms, cells and even had their fingerprints taken !
Michelle Flanagan, local solicitor, spoke to Rang Flannan recently about her work. It was a very informative talk....and Ms. Flanagan also brought a tin of sweets !!
