Young Pioneers
The school's Young Pioneers group is this year being organised by Deputy Principal Ms.M. Mc Donald and Ms. A. Teague. A representative of the Young Pioneers Mr. Ray O' Connor came into the school and spoke to the first and fourth years about the work of the Young Pioneer Association. He spoke to the students about options available to young people which do not involve alcohol. He also spoke about the importance of young people making correct lifestyle choices based on their conscience and choice and not on those imposed by others. Another first for the college was our entry in the Readoiri (Young Pioneers) traditional music group competition. Brian Harraghy and Peter Mc Aree gave an excellent account of themselves on the day.
