| [back to contents] Congratulations to Darren Doherty and Paraic Mc Kenna who won three World Handball titles in Portland, Oregan. Well done also to Terry Mc Elvaney who also competed but was hampered throughout by a hamstring injury. Darren's first title came in the U 13 One Wall event after a series of thrilling games. He followed this with a fantastic win in the Boys U 13 singles competition. Paraic powered to glory in the Boys U 15 championship. This is a fantastic achievement and a very proud moment for everyone concerned.
