The Student Council was represented at the Monaghan Comhairle na nOg meeting in October and two students from St. Macartan's, John Mc Phillips and Colm Galligan (below) were elected on to the committee.
The Student Council has co-opted a Meitheal prefect to serve on the Council and to advise on liaison work with the first year students.
The Council and the Meitheal prefects organised a very successful table quiz for all First Year students in November.
The Senior Prefects have done preliminary work on the Graduation dance and are collecting the first installment from all Leaving Cert. students.
