Monaghan County Enterprise Awards 2011

Congratulations to all the students, mentored by Ms. S. Mc Colgan, who participated in the Monaghan County Enterprise finals in the Four Seasons Hotel.

St. Macartan's faced tough opposition from other schools in the county but when the judges results were announced the Sem had three clear winners, scooping four awards.

The Road Safety Board Game group won Best Overall Prize for Innovation and €75

David Stirrat and Aaron Grew won First Prize for their Kilcooly Farmsets and received €300 towards their enterprise. They will now proceed to the All Ireland Finals in Croke Park on March 16th.

Conor Slowey, Brian Harraghy and Christopher Mc Anenly came second for their Road Safety Board Game. They received a prize of €200.

LCVP Table Quiz 

Students of Ms. S. Mc Colgan's 5th. year Enterprise Class organised a very enjoyable table quiz for First year students as part of their portfolio project. The competition was close and additional tie break questions were needed to decide the overall winners

Early Morning Business Breakfast

Students of Ms. S. Mac Colgan's Enterprise Module had an invitation to join local business people for an early morning  breakfast in the Four Seasons Hotel, and meet with Tanaiste and Minister for  Buisness, Trade & Enterprise, Ms. Mary Coughlan,  T.D.
